When I’m faced with problems I feel I can’t solve,

NEXT

When I want something, I can’t think about anything else.

Once I get something I want, I find myself immediately thinking about the next thing I want.

NEXT

I indulge in things that give me pleasure even when I think I shouldn’t (e.g., food, drugs, sex, alcohol, bingewatching)

I spend too much time on pleasurable activities at the expense of other things I should be doing instead.

NEXT

I need to feel that I’m better than other people.

What other people think about me matters a lot.

NEXT

I obsess over the potential consequences of important decisions.

I worry about losing the things that are important to me.

NEXT

NEXT

It is important to me that the things I accomplish in my life outlast me.

I sacrifice time spent doing pleasurable things to do things I think are important.

NEXT

When I’m having a problem, my first impulse is to ask myself if I’m the cause of it.

I make it a priority in my life to spend as much time as possible on self-improvement.

NEXT

There’s nothing more important than helping other people (including non-family members).

I sacrifice my own happiness to help other people (including non-family members) be happy.

NEXT

I feel an overwhelming sense of bliss in constantly appreciating the sublime beauty of the world.

I don’t fear the loss of attachments that are important to me (people, money, job, reputation, etc.).
